The Boy Who Changed the World

Book Review by Jo Rae Johnson

What if you knew every act and interaction between you and another would make a difference to the entire world? Would that knowledge change your vision, your words, and your plan?

That’s the message you’ll discover inside Andy Andrews children’s book, The Boy Who Changed the World. Colorful pages chronicle individuals who chose to make a difference. In pursuing their God-given passions each fulfilled their purpose and touched the lives of others. In the final pages of the book Andrews explains the butterfly effect to further emphasize his message, “every little thing YOU do matters”.

Butterflies float and alight on every page in beautiful illustrations. While reading this book to a child I think it would be fun to suggest the child find, point out, and count the butterflies.

Adults will enjoy the message as well. From my perspective this book has it all. A good story wrapped in a lesson to be learned, and topped with a beautiful butterfly bow.
